've had these finished for a while now, but always forgot to blog them. Well, here they are now, the Cat socks and the Freeform blanket, previously seen here as WIPs.
The cat socks were just the nicest and quickest knit! I learned fair isle, and got myself a pair of warm socks, not to mention all the yarn is from my stash.
Today was lovely. It was sunny and really windy, so me and Nick decided to go to Phoenix Park to fly his kite. This is the first time we fly it since arriving in Ireland over 2 years ago!
It was really lovely to see the kite fly! It's amazing how loud it is, when the kite moves through the air.
I've been knitting hard lately, but bigger things (except for the Mouse Mitt ) and haven't had so many FOs to show. Well, I'll show my works in progress then.

First, my pride and joy; another pattern from me (courtesy of Nick's Cat relaxing motif) , the Cat relaxing bag. Here's the front
When in Germany during last Christmas holidays I stocked up on sock yarn (as shown in an earlier posting). I also bought Regia Galaxy, self striping yarn which will make little 'galaxies' in the sock; little rings of Jupiter so to say. It must be the coolest idea ever, this yarn!
I am so proud of myself. I made this pair of beautiful, not-beginner socks , and was even able to modify them to match different yarn, and make them knee high. Way to go, Knitt!
Pattern: Baudelaire by Cookie A. Yarn: Novita Nalle. Needles: 2,5mm, 2mm for the cuff ribbing.
Back from the holidays - the longest I've had since a while, almost 2 weeks - and slowly starting to get the hang of normal life again.
I got myself a new laptop, and a game to go with it; that's why I haven't blogged since New Years. First breaking my brain with Vista, and then hooked on the game I haven't even knitted this year yet!
First, I started a beautiful pair of Baudelaire socks a while back, and this weekend I did the first heel. It came out so sloppy and big, I had to rip back (I was already doing the leg when I decided the heel is just too bad) long to the foot part. What a drag, but I did it, and the sock is so much better now!
I can not believe these socks are finally ready! I despised, hated them in the beginning, but after I had turned the heel on the first one (after some months of hibernating and knitting one row per week), I started taking to them. After the first one was done, beautiful and fitting better than any sock before, I quickly did the second one (took maybe only a month...)
Monen kuukauden aherruksen jälkeen Jaywalkerit ovat viimein valmiit! Ja ihanat!
