Knitting and stitching and felting

Me, too, went to the Knitting and Stitching show in Dublin RDS last weekend. It was my first time there, and I had heard a lot about it.

I thought it was nice, expensive, but quite ok. Most knitters do say, though, that it was much worse this year, than ever before.

Well, I paid dearly to get in, 15 euro is a bit much I think, but there were a lot of nice exhibitions and guilds presenting their work in there. Also many sellers, even though I really didn't go there to buy stuff, but to have a nice day at a knitting fair.

Coffeeswap packet came!

And it's gorgeous! See how much of everything, and my spoiler Else had really thought of me when choosing presents. This is like christmas! Even Nic came over and see what was in the packet.

Otin osaa kahvi-vaihtoon, ts swappiin, jossa järjestäjät 'parittavat' kaksi neulojaa, ja he lähettävät toisilleen lahjan. Tässä aiheena oli kahvi. Katso kuvat alta: aivan ihania lahjoja!

Jay, the Walkers are done!

I can not believe these socks are finally ready! I despised, hated them in the beginning, but after I had turned the heel on the first one (after some months of hibernating and knitting one row per week), I started taking to them.  After the first one was done, beautiful and fitting better than any sock before, I quickly did the second one (took maybe only a month...)

Monen kuukauden aherruksen jälkeen Jaywalkerit ovat viimein valmiit! Ja ihanat!

Coffeeswap Questions

As previously posted, I joined Coffeeswap 3. Mistake: then I went for holidays. I come back, and it's all on the way already! I hope I'm not too late with my questions answered:

1. Whole bean or ground?
Ground, for now.

2. Fully-loaded or decaf?

The real stuff!

3. Regular or flavored?

Both!

4. How do you drink your coffee?

Black, black, black.

5. Favorite coffee ever?

Few WIPs

I was looking trough my knitting box, and other places where I keep my knitting, and found some projects that have been "sleeping" for some while. And some projects I am working on this moment. More photos you'll find in Flickr

Jokusia töitä tällä hetkellä puikoilla. Lisää kuvia Flickrssä.

Novice felting

While Nic was on the road, I decided to knit and felt him a pair of bootees, or houseshoes, or how do you call them. See, my sister had knit and felt these bootees for me, and they are of course especially warm and comfortable on our cold floors. So Nic had asked for a pair.

While in Finland, me and my sister went hunting for the same yarn she had knit mine with, but unfortunately that wasn't available in the shops we had access to. So I decided to risk it, bought a few other sorts of felting wool and started experimenting after returning to Ireland.
