A bunch of preemie hats

I'm taking part in a crazy Finnish KAL called "Kesäyön hullutus", which translates to "summernight's folly"! The idea is to start a new project every day from the 1st June to the 20th of June, and finish all these projects by the end of July! I joined on the 6th, so I have a few less to do, but still... so therefore small projects are the best in this challenge!

I think preemie hats are the perfect small projects one can make. They're easy, quick and very useful (I'll be sending them to charity).

Banana silk scarf

Remember the banana silk yarn I received as gift a while back? I finally cast it on, ancdvery quickly cast it off too, as it knits up really quick!

I made the Juicy banana silk scarf (Ravelry link) and even though it calls for two hanks of the yarn, I managed very well with just one, I just left the tassels off and made the scarf a bit shorter - I reckon it measures two meters. I made it with 8mm needles.

Fifi shawl

I think the shawl / lace bug has bitten me. I've never knit shawls before, and now I've made two already this spring.

Ok, admitted, this one was started in January, so it was not really a quick knit. It rested for a few months, I think I took it up again in April or so.

Little knits for charity

I made a few little knits for charity. Originally I wanted to give them all to the Essen animal shelter but then ended up giving only the big bunny and the bookmark-socks. The idea is to sell these knits for the benefit of the shelter. They haven't sold yet, but I hope they will. I also donated a cat bed I made a while ago, it was bought immediately! I'd better get making more of them.

It's one gorgeous shawl

As you may have read, I'm getting married this month. I have a gorgeous sleeveless dress, so I needed to knit something to cover up in case it was cold. So I made an Ishbel shawl. It's gorgeous, just perfect! I am so proud of myself for knitting lace, with actual laceweight yarn! By the way, that's one off my 101 list, which I've just updated. But now back to the shawl!

Corona is finally finished!

It's finally done! According to my Ravelry bookkeeping I started it in December.

Here are the stats:

Pattern: Corona by CanarySanctuary.
Needles: 4mm circulars; the main one was 80cm, plus I used another one when starting the cable panels. I can't remember how long that one was, but it's not important anyway!
Yarn: Bright red, really cheap acrylic from NKD

A little bunny friend

A little bunny for Easter! Actually, he's been done for a few weeks now - this was my March "small item" - I made myself a small item club last December: I basically packed a pattern and yarn for a project into a paper bag and labelled them one per month, and now I'm knitting them one per month! It's really fun!
