I'm not sure what to say about this shawl. Take a look at the pictures. You can see it's rather long. Like, three meters long! I never intented to it to be that long (according the pattern the shawl should have been ca. 160 cm / 65 inches long, and I followed the pattern)

What do you think of it? Would you wear it? If you would, where and with what? I like the drape and the feel, it feels luxurious but I'm not sure if it's practical to wear - anywhere! Here are the specs:

If there's one book which I have continuously looked at at the book store, browsed through, found everything lovely, and put the book away again, it would be this one.

Oh, the Travelling Woman! Remember how I blogged about it a few weeks ago, saying "I'm certain I'm reading the pattern right"? Yeah, right. See, the pattern says "The charts do not contain the garter stitch border or the yo at the beginning and end of each row. Instructions are provided in the lace charts section. In the stocking stitch portion on right side rows, you increase four stitches. On wrong side rows, you increase two stitches." Guess who didn't make ANY yarn overs on the wrong side?

Now this is a really difficult subject - I have so many lovely yarns I could present! But I took a long hard look at my Ravelry stash and decided to choose Marks & Kattens Eco Ull.

For today's Knitting & Crochet Week post (theme: a past FO) I chose Zeepy's bag, a FO from my early knitting days! This bag was actually the topic in my second-ever blog post back in 2007!

Where do I like to knit? That's today's question in the Knitting Blog Week blog-along.

I'm afraid my answer will be rather boring - on my sofa. We have two two-seating white faux leather sofas, and the other one is my realm! There is usually at least one project on the sofa, plus some more in the craft baskets on the floor. My supplies like patterns, scissors and little booklets to write down pattern ideas and notes are stored on the livingroom/sofa table.

Today's theme of the Knitting Crochet Blog Week is not a very easy one for me: a new skill I would like to learn.

I mean, sure, there are loads of skills I'd like to learn, but not one or two that I would have been thinking about a while or anything that I'd be actively working on right now (well, apart from designing, but I won't get into that this time).

Today's topic in Knitting Crochet Blog Week should be "One Great Knitter". But I can impossibly just name one Great Knitter, or a knitter who's work I really enjoy. But I'll try, and just name two.
