The Magic Toyshop by Angela Carter was an experience. Not a book I would read or listen normally - I picked it up from the library because I had decided to try something new for a change. Well, this was something else.
I love the photography in this book! Erika Knight's book Simple knits for easy living has many easy patterns for the home - throws, cushions, bathing bags and rugs. All of them are so beautifully photographed, that I would like to knit them all right away. I will, someday.
I read a book by Stel Pavlou, called Decpiher. They seem to admire this on Amazon, but I personally wasn't too impressed. Ok, he studied a lot for it and the idea is really interesting and the realisation new, but still the book was somehow sensation-seeking and repeated it's own patterns.
After a long, long while, I got my hands on a book that really facinated me so much, that I could hardly lay it off my hands during the working day. So, indeed I didn't, but finished this book in 3 days.
