On the 4th of October the blogsphear protests for a free Burma, where civilians and even monks are shot and people are living in the daily fear of death. This since 1989!
The official protest coordination site is at free-burma.org. There is a mailinglist as well. Check out some graphics at the flickr group and place them on your website. It's time to show solidaraity for this people. At the Amnesty International site is an action letter which should be send forward to the Minister of Foreign Affairs at Myanmar.
Shirtsofberlin.com have designed some Burma t-shirts, and give a good part of the sales price to a charity active in Burma.
Most blogs worldwide will only show 1 entry, the one for Burma. I wish to post of something else too, not to dishonour the citizens of Burma nor to make their suffering any less important, but to raise the issue of another world wide torture, murder and denial of all rights of one group: animals.
The 4th of October begins the yearly Animal week. Please sign the Animals Matter -petition to demand universal declaration of animal welfare.
