It's time for the third issue og Worsted Knitt's pattern show!

Here I will present some of the newest, nicest knitting patterns on Ravelry. I will present patterns that are not in the Top 10, and even a bit underrated. This issue is all about summer knits! Take a look what I chose:

I absolutely adore Mordor, a half-circle shawl which is knit with sport weight yarn, perfect for hotter days. I don't know the story behind the name, but the shawl reminds me of the Sun. I can't think what the Sun may have to do with Mordor, but I guess it doesn't have to do so at all!

Edit: annanann, the designer told me the following: "About the name, maybe I should add that somewhere, it’s named after the name of the colourway of the fibrer from which I spun the yellow gradient yarn. That in combination that and possibly the vague resemblance to Sauron's Eye"

So there we have it - I guess Sauron's Eye and the Sun look the same to me :) The Mordor shawl is pictured in this post, too.

Another shawl in laceweight yarn is the Pine Cone Shawl. Very pretty, and suitable for lace beginners.

There's one free pattern in this pattern show as well: Ribbon of Breeze scarf which is an absolutely gorgeous scarf suitable for knitting and wearing during the summer.
Two other things that go with summer are cotton and small knits. These Organic Cotton Spa Cloths combine both! Priced at 1,99 $ including the rights to sell the finished knits is really a bargain, don't you think?

Last but not least we have the fleur Tee, a lightweight summer t-shirt with flower decorations on it.

That's all for now. Which pattern do you like best?

I favour the fleur Tee as I am a fan of Atelier Alfa's designs. They are creative, female and simple to knit. Your selection is very inspiring and certainly will raise the question what project to knit first!
